HASTINGS — Omaha Creighton Prep Bones Post 1 scored in each of the first four innings and held off a late rally by Lincoln East Duncan Aviation Jets Post 500 for a 9-5 victory in seven innings Sunday in Game 7 of the Nebraska American Legion Class A Juniors State Tournament at Duncan Field.

Finn Nauenburg and George Bartholomew delivered RBI singles to give Omaha a 2-0 lead in the first. Noah Garden scored on an error in the second before the Bones added three runs in the third on Owen Fogarty’s RBI single, Blake Glogowski’s bases-loaded walk and Brayden Elder’s RBI groundout.

Bartholomew added an RBI single in the fourth to extend Omaha’s lead to 7-0. Lincoln East scored on Nico Garcia’s bases-loaded hit-by-pitch in the fourth and Elliot Dannewitz’s bases-loaded walk in the fifth, cutting the deficit to 7-2.

Tristan Grove earned the win after allowing two runs on four hits over 4⅔ innings. He walked three and struck out two before Connor Haskell finished the fifth and worked a scoreless sixth.

Omaha added two insurance runs in the seventh. Elder singled, Finn Donohue doubled and Ben Piernicky drove both runners home with a double to make it 9-2.

The Jets scored three times in the bottom of the seventh. Collin Kreikemeier delivered an RBI single, Braxton Hemry scored on a wild pitch and Tyson Beach came home on a bases-loaded walk. Donohue entered with the potential tying run on deck and struck out the final batter to earn the save.

Piernicky led Omaha by going 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, two runs and two RBIs. Bartholomew went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Donohue finished 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and two runs, and Graham Wilwerding added two hits. Hemry led Lincoln East by going 2-for-3 with a run.

Omaha finished with nine runs, 12 hits and no errors. Lincoln East recorded five runs, six hits and three errors.
